The Sona drawings, plural of Lusona, were part of the tradition of the Tchokwe People. It is known in eastern Angola and close to the borders of Zambia and Congo. We propose to break the repetition on the street front - very frequent in the urban insertion of this housing typology - promoting a rhythmic variety through an asymmetrical pairing of dwellings that flow on two floors and define terraces or outdoor living areas in the shade. We favor a more fluid and organic urban insertion that enriches the urban formal variety and liberates the ground floor for family experiences, protected from the intense heat of the sun.
